    Hand wash only. Rinse your bamboo steamer with warm water and a soft sponge or cloth. A mild soap can be used if necessary, but avoid harsh detergents (bamboo can absorb scents).

    Avoid soaking the steamer in water for extended periods. Prolonged soaking or dishwashers can cause the natural bamboo to warp or crack.

    After cleaning, let the steamer air dry completely. Store it in a dry, well-ventilated area. Following these simple steps will keep your Lucky Steamer in top shape for many meals to come.

    1. Fill a wok or pot with a few cm of water and bring it to a boil (make sure the water level won’t touch the food in the steamer).
    2. Place a perforated paper liner in each bamboo tray (or you can use lettuce/cabbage leaves) to keep food from sticking.
    3. Arrange your food in the steamer baskets in a single layer. Give dumplings or buns a little space so steam can circulate. Stack the second tray on top if using both tiers.
    4. Set the assembled steamer over your pot or wok. Cover with the bamboo lid and let the steam do its magic! Steam until your food is cooked through – for example, about 10–12 minutes for our frozen dumplings (times will vary by recipe).
    5. Using caution (hot steam inside!), remove the steamer from the pot. Serve your dumplings or veggies straight from the basket for an authentic touch.
