With just a few ingredients, this dish transforms beef dumplings into a vibrant, satisfying plate that works beautifully as a quick lunch, light dinner, or sharing dish with plenty of flavour.

Ingredients

  • 8–10 beef dumplings, fried
  • 1 head of lettuce, torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 200 g firm or silken tofu, cubed
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp laoganma or chili sauce

Method

1. Fry the dumplings according to the package instructions and allow them to cool slightly.
2. Arrange the lettuce in a large serving bowl or on a serving platter.
3. Add the tofu and gently toss with the lettuce.
4. Place the warm dumplings on top.
5. Whisk together the sesame oil and chili dressing.
6. Drizzle the dressing over the salad.
7. Garnish with spring onions, coriander, or sesame seeds if desired.
8. Serve immediately.

Tips

  • Add cucumber, shredded carrot, or edamame for extra crunch and freshness.
  • For more heat, drizzle with extra chili oil or add sliced fresh chili.
